Virus Removal Questions
Common signs are pop-ups that won’t go away, a browser homepage that keeps changing, a computer that has suddenly become very slow, or programs you don’t remember installing. A scary full-screen warning with a phone number is usually a scam page, not a real virus. Don’t call the number. Close the browser and bring the computer in.
Turn the computer off or disconnect it from the internet straight away. Then, from a different device, call your bank if you logged into banking or gave card details. Bring the computer in and we’ll remove the remote-access software, check for anything else they left behind and help you change your passwords.
